Our Grain Merchant Grain Fed Beef short ribs Beef Asado ribs are richly marbled and have deep, beefy flavour. They are perfect for slow-cooking become fall-apart tender when braised slowly. Sourced from NSW and Queensland, these are perfect for the weekend!

A technique of cooking, Asdao means barbecuing different cuts of meat (usually beef), sausages and offal. Asado style cooking originates from  Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay and usually served with chimichurri, a spicy, garlicky parsley sauce. The meat is cooked simply with out any additions, just very slowly over coals, until it melts in your mouth and cuts like butter.

They are a perfect comfort food for the colder months, and they taste absolutely incredible (and You can also do this low and slow on a smoker BBQ for amazing results.

Here's an easy recipe for Chimichuri by Taste.com.au

  • 3 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mild paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh oregano leaves
  • 2 cups fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

Place ingredients in food processor. Process, scraping down sides, until finely chopped and well combined. Transfer to bowl. Serve.
